Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph, The Red-nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names,
They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say,
"Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee,
"Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer, you'll go down in history!"

Christmas Eve is coming soon, now you dear old man.
Whisper what you'll bring to me, tell me if you can.
Johnny wants a pair of skates, Susy wants a sled.
Nellie wants a picture book, yellow, blue and red.
Now I think I'll leave to you, what to give the rest.
Choose for me dear Santa Claus; you will know the best.

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

You better watch out, You better no cry,
Better not pout, I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is comin' to town.

He's making a list and checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice,
Santa Claus is comin' to town.

He sees you when you're sleepin',
He knows when you're awake,
He knows if you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake.

You better watch out, You better not cry,
Better not pout, I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is comin' to town.

Santa Claus, Santa Claus - You are Much too Fat!
(tune: Jingle Bells)

I heard a reindeer hoof, then Santa dressed in red,
came crashing through the roof and landed in my bed.
I thought it was a dream, but quickly did I wake,
as soon as I heard Santa scream, "I want a piece of cake!"

REFRAIN:
Oh! Santa Claus, Santa Claus, you are much too fat!
I was sleeping peacefully, but now my bed is flat.
Oh! Santa Claus, Santa Claus, how much do you weigh?
I'm glad I'm not a reindeer that has to pull your sleigh!

I got up off the floor and said, "How do you do?"
I said, "My back is sore, my head is black and blue."
"So sorry!" he replied, and then he asked my name.
He offered me a ride. I said, "No, thank you just the same!"

REFRAIN

I heard a "HO, HO, HO." The sleigh was in the sky.
But it was moving slow and wasn't very high.
It wobbled in the air. I hoped it wouldn't fall.
Said Santa, chewing cookies, "Merry Christmas, one and all!"

Frosty the Snowman

Frosty, the snowman, was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty, the snowman, is a fairytale they say;
He was made of snow but the children know how he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found, for when they placed it on his head he began to dance around.

Oh Frosty, the snowman, was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me.
Frosty, the snowman, knew the sun was hot that day,
So he said, "let's run and we'll have some fun now before I melt away.

Count Your Blessings

When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings.
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings.

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads.
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds.
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings.

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads.
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds.
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings.

Home for the Holidays

Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays,
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam.
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly face
For the holidays, you can't beat home sweet home.

I met a man who lives in Tennessee and he was headin' for
Pennsylvania and some home-made pumpkin pie.
From Pennsylvania folks a travelin' down to Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee the traffic is terrific.

Oh there's no place like home for the holidays
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays, you can't beat home sweet home.

-28-
Mr. Grinch
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch,
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch,
Your heart's an empty hole,
Your brain is full of spiders, you have garlic in your soul, Mr. Grinch,
I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You have termites in your smile,
You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile, Mr. Grinch,
Given a choice between the two of you I'd take the seasick crocodile!

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch,
You're the king of sinful sots,
Your heart's a dead tomato splotched with moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch. You're a three decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce!

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch,
With a nauseous super "naus"!
You're a crooked dirty jockey and you drive a crooked hoss, Mr. Grinch,
Your soul is an appalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of rubbish imaginable mangled up in tangled up knots!

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You're a nasty wasty skunk,
Your heart is full of unwashed socks, your soul is full of gunk, Mr. Grinch,
The three words that best describe you are as follows, and I quote,
"Stink, stank, stunk!"

All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth
Everybody stops and stares at me.
These two teeth are gone as you can see.
I don't know just who to blame for this catastrophe!
But my one wish on Christmas Eve is as plain as it can be!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth, see my two front teeth!
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth, then I could wish you "Merry Christmas!"
It seems so long since I could say, "Sister Susie sitting on a thistle!"
Gosh oh gee, how happy I'd be, if I could only whistle! (Thhh)

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth, see my two front teeth.
Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth, then I could wish you "Merry Christmas!"

-31-
Angels We Have Heard on High

Angels we have heard on high,
Singing sweetly through the night,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their brave delight.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why these songs of happy cheer?
What great brightness did you see?
What glad tiding did you hear?
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ, the Lord, the new-born King.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

See him in a manger laid
Whom the angels praise above;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While we raise our hearts in love.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

-32-
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear

It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth, good will to men,
From heaven's all-gracious King."
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing.

-33-
Silent Night

Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight,
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing alleluia;
Christ the Savior, is born!
Christ the Savior, is born!

Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

-34-

Joy to the World
Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns; Let men their songs employ;
while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy, repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessing flow far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found, far as, far as the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove
the glories of His righteousness, and wonders of His love, and wonders of His love, and wonders, wonders of His love.

-35-
O Holy Night

O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O holy night, O night divine!
O night, O holy night, O night divine

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

-36-
Silver Bells

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style
In the air there's a feeling of Christmas .
Children laughing, people passing meeting smile after smile
And on ev'ry street corner you'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells. It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing. Soon it will be Christmas day.
Strings of street lights, even stop lights blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures.
Hear the snow crunch. See the kids bunch. This is Santa's big scene.
And above all this bustle you'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells, it's Christmas time in the city.
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing. Soon it will be Christmas Day.

-37-
The Christmas Song
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Jack Frost nipping at your nose.
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir and folks dressed up like Eskimos.
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa's on his way. He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And ev'ry mother's child is gonna spy to see if reindeer really know how to fly.
And so, I'm offering this simple phrase to kids from one to ninety-two
Altho' it's been said many times, many ways; "Merry Christmas to you"

-38-
It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five-and-ten, glistening once again with candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Toys in ev'ry store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be on your own front door.

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well, the sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas; Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing right within your heart.

-39-
White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Let your heart be light
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on our troubles will be miles away.

Here were are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more.

Through the years we all will be together if the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

I'll Be Home for Christmas
I'll be home for Christmas; You can count on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree.
Christmas Eve will find me where the love-light gleams.
I'll be home for Christmas if only in my dreams.

Jingle Bell Rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun.

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air.

What a bright time, it's the right time to rock the night away.
Jingle bell time is a swell time to go gliding in a one-horse sleigh.

Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the jingle bell,
That's the jingle bell,
That's the jingle bell rock.

Let It Snow!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It doesn't show signs of stopping, and I brought some corn for popping;
The lights are turned way down low, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

When we finally say good night, how I'll hate going out in the storm;
But if you really hold me tight, all the way home I'll be warm.
/
The fire is slowly dying, and, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Rocking Around the Christmas Tree

Rocking around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop.
Rocking around the Christmas tree, let the Christmas spirit ring.
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie and we'll do some caroling.

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear voices singing let's be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly.

Rocking around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday.
Everyone dancing merrily in the new old-fashioned way.

Sleigh Ride

Just hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing Ring ting tingle-ing too
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling "You Hoo"
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Giddy-yap giddy-yap giddy-yap let's go. Let's look at the snow.
We're riding in a wonderland of snow.
Giddy-yap giddy-yap giddy-yap it's grand just holding your hand.
We're gliding along with the song of a wintry fairy land.
Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy cozy are we.
We're snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be.
Let's take the road before us and sing a chorus or two.
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.

There's a birthday party at the home of Farmer Gray. It'll be the perfect ending of a perfect day.
We'll be singing the songs we love to sing without a single stop at the fireplace while we watch the chestnuts pop.
Pop! Pop! Pop!

There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy when they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie.
It'll nearly be like a picture print by Currier and Ives. These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our lives.

Winter Wonderland
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
in the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,
here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song, as we go along,
walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
we'll say: No man,
But you can do the job when you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,
as we dream by the fire
To face unafraid, the plans that we've made,
walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
and pretend that he's a circus clown
And we'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
until the other kiddies knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
walking in a winter wonderland.
Walking in a winter wonderland, walking in a winter wonderland.
